Welcome to the Greater Whittier LGBTQ+ Center, a safe haven and supportive space dedicated to
serving the LGBTQIA+ community in Los Angeles County. Our mission is to uplift and empower
individuals of all ages, genders, sexual orientations, and backgrounds by offering a comprehensive
range of services and resources tailored to the unique needs of the LGBTQIA+ community.
Our services span across youth support, trans-specific services, mental health treatment, substance
use disorder counseling, legal assistance, and much more. We are committed to fostering personal growth,
resilience, and a sense of belonging for every individual who walks through our doors. Beyond services, we are a
community hub for cultural events, wellness activities, and social gatherings that cultivate a welcoming and inclusive space for all.
In collaboration with the Los Angeles Centers for Alcohol & Drug Abuse (L.A. CADA), we offer specialized support for individuals dealing with addiction and behavioral health issues. L.A. CADA is dedicated to saving lives, uniting families, and protecting the community through its high-quality addiction counseling and health education programs. As a trusted provider in California and Los Angeles County, L.A. CADA provides a range of holistic and trauma-informed services, focusing on each client’s unique needs, regardless of their financial, employment, health, or immigration status.

L.A. CADA, or the Los Angeles Centers for Alcohol and Drug Abuse, is an organization dedicated to helping individuals struggling
with addiction and behavioral issues. They provide a range of treatment services, including outpatient, intensive outpatient, and residential
programs, catering to adults aged 18 and over, as well as outpatient services for adolescents aged 12 to 17.
The organization emphasizes client-centered and trauma-informed care, staffed by licensed and certified professionals.
In addition to core treatment options, L.A. CADA offers specialized counseling services such as Drug Education, Parenting Education,
Anger Management, and Domestic Violence counseling. They also provide HIV/AIDS prevention and intervention services.
L.A. CADA is committed to accessibility, accepting various insurance plans and offering funding for eligible participants
under programs like Medi-Cal and Cal-WORKs, with some services available free of charge. Their mission is to support
individuals on their journey to recovery and help them regain control of their lives.
