Welcome to the Greater Whittier LGBTQ+ Center, a safe haven and supportive space dedicated to
serving the LGBTQIA+ community in Los Angeles County. Our mission is to uplift and empower
individuals of all ages, genders, sexual orientations, and backgrounds by offering a comprehensive
range of services and resources tailored to the unique needs of the LGBTQIA+ community.
Our services span across youth support, trans-specific services, mental health treatment, substance
use disorder counseling, legal assistance, and much more. We are committed to fostering personal growth,
resilience, and a sense of belonging for every individual who walks through our doors. Beyond services, we are a
community hub for cultural events, wellness activities, and social gatherings that cultivate a welcoming and inclusive space for all.
In collaboration with the Los Angeles Centers for Alcohol & Drug Abuse (L.A. CADA), we offer specialized support for individuals dealing with addiction and behavioral health issues. L.A. CADA is dedicated to saving lives, uniting families, and protecting the community through its high-quality addiction counseling and health education programs. As a trusted provider in California and Los Angeles County, L.A. CADA provides a range of holistic and trauma-informed services, focusing on each client’s unique needs, regardless of their financial, employment, health, or immigration status.
L.A. CADA’s commitment to inclusivity ensures that people of all ages, genders, sexual orientations, and backgrounds can access the care they need.
Their collaboration with the Greater Whittier LGBTQ+ Center provides the community with additional resources to tackle substance use and behavioral health challenges effectively.
Thanks to the leadership of Supervisor Janice Hahn, Assemblymember Lisa Calderon, and the Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors, the Greater Whittier LGBTQ+ Center is an essential part of building a stronger, more inclusive future for all. Our advocacy, outreach, and partnerships with local schools, businesses, and faith-based communities further promote awareness and inclusion. Whether you need support, want to connect with others, or are interested in volunteering, the Greater Whittier LGBTQ+ Center and our partnership with L.A. CADA are here to guide you on your journey to wellness and belonging. Together, we can make a lasting difference in our community.
